Children's Museum Outing

Superstar!
 Come on ...let's go!
off I go!

I love stepping back sometimes, and capturing what's going on in their world.
This face is very baby Kelseyish.  Mmm, look at those cheeks!
I love that years ago, I spent so much time here with Kelsey and Maddy.  Now, the girls run upstairs as fast as they can (they still LOVE it!!!), and I get to do the baby play area all again.  It is such a sweet place with more memories to come!  Oh, I sound so sappy.

A scrappy post.

I made this months and months ago, but I finally put a pic in the middle.  I think this chaotic frame shows the messy, colorful, fun of our lives after our new addition. Not loving the pic of this frame, but you get the idea!

Work in process:  I have nearly completed a new board book from our Oregon trip, 2007.  I have started a huge H for on top of our piano.  I am preparing to make an ultra mixed media book for my last pregnancy journey...and I, after like 2 years of neglect, started a piece in my art journal.  I am finally creating again, but it does come with a price.  Mess!

Really big...

feet! Everyone who knows Madison knows she has ginormous feet.  She is 8 and her feet are a grown-up size 6!  The other day, I slipped on her flip flops to go in the garage. They were tight, but holy moly!  Maddy just says she has flippers, which is true...man can this girl swim FAST! When she was a baby, my neighbor called her  a hobbit.  If she wasn't so crazy tall, I might wonder myself!
Smile!  Paiger was running around the house and looked up and gave me a big ol' smile, and then ran on! That's all I needed however.  I got it!
Jalapeno!  ...Jose Jalapeno, on a stick! Alan is a little wacky about his garden.  He was a giddy little school boy last night when he practically jumped outside to pick his pepper, you know...the pepper than papa picked!, and ran in to make his salsa.  It was amusing, to see the man, who doesn't really care to fix up his house or anything, run outside...to pick a pepper!

The Never Ending Mess

Hot day means water fun!

My girl looks so big and grown up here.  Only 13 months, but she just seems to grown up!

I took about 200 pics here, but honestly, I can't post them.  Maddy looks way too cute in her new bikini, if you know what I mean.  I can't believe I agreed to it.  I think we'll stick to her one piece for the time being. How did she grow up so quick?  It doesn't help that my girls are HUGE and look so much older than they are.  So, I think, from now on, no bikinis until they are 21, at least!!!
Aside from the bikini topic, what I love about these pics, the others I have not posted especially, is the water.    It was such a sunny day, and I was able to capture everything.  I shot so fast, and it is really great to see the action of the girls running through as the water changes.  Cool stuff for me!

Where we eat, we also play!

This is my kitchen table. Yup, it is.  Given that our home is very small for the five of us, the nook doubles as my table, and that means paint and mess.  So, rather than refinishing, the girls and I went crazy and made this our new, finished table.  I am awfully happy with the results.

Middle of the Night

\
This little piece is on a tiny canvas. It is actually very very small, and much brighter. Must try to get a getter pic in some better light..as always, my struggle.

This is K, 3 years ago. Growing up, and really becoming the girl we love and know today. The writing is all from Dr. Suess' Oh The Places We Go...our favorite! I used to read this to Kels all the time, and I feel it is an essential message in young children. This one also turned out really dark. (Had issues taking pics in my burgundy living room this morning. Must re-paint for this purpose!!!) I really think this page turned out great, but I guess you have to see it to believe it!

I am happy to explain, after too much time at the computer, that I asked a fabulous blogger, whom I do not know, to help me figure out how to make my blog bigger, and just better.  I am still not done, but I am learning and finally got the basics down!  Thank you sooo much Delia, http://deliacreates.blogspot.com , for your help!  I love your blog and really appreciate helping a needy stranger! Now, on to a header!
